Tips

So, what's the point of this section? I teach Photoshop and I am used to making lots of copies of handouts on things like color theory and color separation. Now that Internet access is available where I teach, my goal is to put more and more "handouts" up on the web for my students.

The first couple of toys are rough, but hopefully demonstrate what I'm planning to do here. You'll need the latest viewer for Shockwave to see everything.

Color Models
Breakdown of the additive and subtractive color models. Drag color circles so they overlap each other and build either black or white.

Color Separations
Demo of the four inks in a process color image. Drag four "plates" together to build the final color image.

Note: given the way I have built the two pieces so far, you may have to move your mouse slowly when dragging items so that the animation can keep up with you.
